MY REVIEW:
I won this book in a giveaway contest and wasn’t sure what to expect especially since I haven’t read any of the previous books in the Cupid Chronicles series, and WOW was I pleased!! CHARLIE’S ANGEL was an excellent story. I knew from the first chapter I was not going to be able to put it down and I was right. Shauna Allen has a fluent writing style that is polished and easy to read. I loved Charles and Kami’s story and can’t wait to pick up the first books in the series because I’ve obviously been missing out!

Kami, is a young, sassy, fiercely independent, beautiful tattoo artist who works for Jed and Kyle. She says what she thinks and does what she wants. I love her! She has taken on raising her thirteen year old sister alone, so you know she has a heart of gold buried and waiting for just the right man. She has learned to protect her heart after having a bad experience with love so she’s a bit jaded. Which means she is done with bad boys, flakes, and men who can’t hold down a job. She needs stability. She needs someone she can count on in the long haul. Charles is the right man, even if he looks like an uptight suit (not her usual type)he sends Kami’s body into overdrive.

Handsome, sexy, charming, “perfect” Charles comes from a country club family. He is vice president of an accounting firm and has lived his life according to what was expected of him. And he is sick of it all. He is ready to break free and live life on his own terms instead of being locked inside the box. He’s ready to get out of his suits and get his hands dirty! He sees Kami for the first time when she attends his boss’s retirement dinner and she just from the eye contact she has him intrigued. She’s not like any woman he’s ever dated before and it’s not just her hot tattoos, but she gets his motor running and he wants more. With a little (unknown) help from his own personal Cupid, he gets the perfect opportunity to spend more time with Kami and get to know her. Time to get past all her prickles.

Charles and Kami may look like total opposites, but they are perfect for each other. Their journey to love was a joy to read as they get to know each other. Plenty of witty banter, tender moments and sexy times! Props to Charles for not being shy about going after what he wanted on his own terms. Once he made up his mind there was no hesitation in him and I found that very sexy. Kami’s little sister is a kick. Just like her sister she says what she thinks and she brightened all the scenes she was in. Charles and Kami are definitely a match made in heaven! Don’t miss this book! 4.5 stars
