Turn Up the Heat (Pine Mountain #1) by Kimberly Kincaid – Review

Turn Up The Heat

“It’s not you.”

There are only so many times a girl can hear those words before she believes that it is, in fact, very much her. Unexpectedly jilted by her locally famous boyfriend and haunted by a boss who makes Attila the Hun look like a lap dog, Bellamy Blake does what any self-respecting girl in her shoes would do. She rounds up her two best girlfriends and makes plans to get the hell out of Dodge.

But Bellamy’s escape plan takes a nose dive on the side of rural route 164 when her transmission self-destructs, leaving her in the middle of a cell phone dead zone with nothing but her wits. Oh, and Shane Griffin, the hottest mechanic who’s ever checked under her hood.

Yet this small-town man isn’t all he seems. Can Shane and Bellamy prove that sometimes the most unlikely ingredients make the most deliciously sexy mix?

Loved this book!! If you are looking for a fun, flirty, and refreshingly romantic love story to put a smile on your face then look no further than Kimberly Kincaid’s TURN UP THE HEAT. KK’s story about the big city girl falling hard for the small town boy (and vice versa) is a delight to read!

Her beautiful heroine, Bellamy Blake is smart, sassy, fiery, and fed up with the lousy week she’s had. She calls on her two best friends and sets plans to meet them up at the Pine Mountain resort for some much needed pampering and relaxation. I have to say right here the close friendship, snarky banter and teasing that goes on between Bellamy, Holly and Jenna is hilarious and adds so much to the overall greatness of the book!

Shane Griffin is a smoking hot mechanic in the small town of Pine Mountain with a burning love for cars, especially his 1969 Mach 1 Mustang and no time for much else. When Bellamy storms into Grady’s auto shop looking for help when her little red sports car breaks down he immediately pegs her for nothing but trouble with her big city clothes and attitude so he gives her a little attitude of his own. These two may act like opposites who want nothing to do with each other, but the sexual tension and chemistry between them is electric! They both try to deny they are interested in the other but every time they run into each other their attraction grows and doing something about it becomes impossible to resist. The more time Shane and Bellamy spend together it becomes apparent they are kindred spirits in so many ways and absolutely perfect for each other! 4.5 stars
