MY REVIEW:

FIX YOU begins Christine Bell’s new series, the McDaniels Brothers, with the first of three parts telling the story of Sebastian “Bash” McDaniels and Olivia Beckett. Bash is a gorgeous, sexy, hard-working, up and coming boxer just a couple of months away from the prize he’s wanted all his life, his first big-time bout. Olivia is a college student he saves from a beating from her asshole boyfriend in the ladies room of the bar where he works. Andy, Olivia’s wealthy, good-looking, sociopathic boyfriend causes Bash to lose a job he desperately needs and threatens to press assault charges. Olivia feels responsible and seeks Bash out while Andy is off in Cabo for spring break with the rest of their friends.

Even though this is only a third of a story I can say the author clearly develops and defines the nature of her main characters. She gives you a true feel of who they are and what to expect of them. I was quickly drawn in and rooting for Olivia to dump Andy the scumbag, and for her and Bash to get together. The chemistry between these two is magnetic and well written, but terrible timing for each of them. When they finally give in to their lust, the sex scene is hot and worth the build-up of waiting. Of course, right after that Andy comes back to town setting us up for the second installment with a major cliffhanger. 3.5 stars
