HEART BREAKER, the first novel in Erin McCarthy’s new series Nashville Nights is about a hot new singer and songwriting duo, Jolene Hart and Chance Rivers. Their first album and tour together was hot and so was their love affair, but then… the very public breakup. Unfortunately, they are contracted to continue to work together. Jolene and Chance have explosive chemistry and the temperaments to match. Jolene especially is not at all happy about being forced to work with Chance and stir up all the hurt of their breakup. The first part of the book they are both dealing with the fact they still have feelings for each other but don’t want to admit it. Each have their own insecurities as to their professional status and this only makes it harder. Once they get past that and admit their feelings, the love and the romance between them really shines through. This is where it gets good and makes up for the rocky beginning.
Erin McCarthy is a favorite author of mine and I have to admit, I had my doubts with this one at first, but she really pulls her characters and storyline together so I was really glad I read through to the end. Excellent finish!
