My Review

Wow! What a great read. I highly recommend SADDLES AND SIN by Jessie Evans to any romance lover, as long as you understand Robert is mine! Lol. I just want to steal the sexy cowboy and rising country singing star Robert “Bubba” Lawson away from Marisol Medina and keep him for myself. But I’ve got to admit they’re great together and after the rough time Marisol’s had she deserves this kind, sweet, loyal and patient man beside her just as much as she needs his take-charge, bedroom dirty-talker, fiercely protective Alpha man ways. So I concede, but only to Marisol. As for anyone else, I’m claiming him for my book boyfriend.<3

Ms. Evans has given us the story of a young woman who trusted the wrong man. An unscrupulous man who used her, manipulated her feelings for him, and then betrayed her in an unimaginable way. But Marisol is a strong, intelligent, ambitious woman who is determined to succeed on her own terms even when everyone she knows has turned their back on her. She is a professional talent agent who learned her lesson in the hardest way possible about mixing business with pleasure. Her well-learned lack of trust in men has kept her to herself for over two years without a problem, but working with Robert, her recently signed singer, makes her heart race and sends her libido into overdrive.

Robert is just as attracted to the beautiful Marisol and equally determined to break down her walls and prove to her he's a man she can trust. An unexpected week at his family's ranch puts them in close quarters and their chemistry proves irresistible. I loved how Robert, or Bubba to all his family and friends, was so patient and loving to the deeply wounded Marisol. He wasn't afraid to express his feelings or his unconditional devotion which is just what Marisol needed to give him her heart. Beautiful couple. Beautiful love. Beautiful story.

Robert’s friends and family add lightheadedness to the story, making the book even better. Saddles and Sin is Ms. Evans second in her Lonesome Point, Texas series but it is definitely a stand-alone novel with each book being about a different couple. I did not have to read the first book to fully enjoy the second. 4.5 stars
