~ The next great love story from Sapphire Falls ~
She was his first love, the woman he planned to marry, the one that got away—all that romantic crap.
Two years ago, Hannah broke his heart. Which has been, well, not exactly fine, but he’s handling it because he doesn’t have to see her every day. In fact, Kyle had planned to keep up with the not-seeing-Hannah thing for at least a couple more years. Or a couple more decades. Or forever. But now she’s back in town to help her grandmother, Kyle’s patient and one of his favorite people, recover from hip surgery.
It’s only for six weeks. Surely Hannah can survive living in her hometown and helping her grandmother for six short weeks. If she doesn’t leave the house more than necessary. And puts on a show of being the same girl everyone remembers. And absolutely avoids Kyle Ames.
But that strategy evaporates the moment she sees Kyle again. And then things get worse—way worse. Kyle plans to also put on a show. To make Hannah’s grandmother happy, he’ll pretend he’s completely forgiven Hannah and wants her back. He doesn’t. But he and Hannah are the only ones who know that. And the pretend seduction quickly starts feeling far too real…and Hannah’s having a hard time remembering that she’s supposed to be resisting the whole thing.
And then there’s the not-so-tiny complication of falling in love with Kyle all over again. And the fact that he’s falling for her too. And that they’re both realizing maybe this time they’re doing it right.

Another really entertaining book by Erin Nicholas set in the wonderful town of Sapphire Falls. It’s always fun to come home to all the characters who after only one book will make you feel like they truly are old friends. I’m not one bit ashamed to admit how much I look forward to each new book in this series. AFTER YOU, is the latest and features the hometown doc, Kyle Ames.
Kyle is given a second chance with the girl he’s loved ever since he knew what it was to love a woman. They were together since they were teens and made solid plans for their future life together. Kyle loves plans. He loves predictability almost as much as he loves Hannah. But when they went away to college, things happened that made Hannah feel she no longer lived up to the dream life she knew Kyle was expecting to live. She decided it was best to make new plans for a different life and not go back to Sapphire Falls. After three years she’s back in town to help her grandmother and well, no one can resist the pull of true love in Sapphire Falls. But they are both older and have changed with time. Can they find love again, a new love that can overcome the pain of their past. This is a great love story. Great time back in my favorite fictional town with my favorite characters. You don’t want to miss this one!

Only one thing had not gone according to plan in Kyle Ames’ entire life.
Her name was Hannah McIntire.
And she was currently sitting at a back table in the bar in his tiny hometown of Sapphire Falls.
Even from across the room with the inside-a-bar-at-night lighting, he could tell she looked exactly the same. Her long brown hair, streaked with red and gold highlights was perfectly styled. Her long legs were crossed under the skirt of a pretty, flowered sundress paired with a perfectly matched sweater and sandals. He couldn’t see her hands or face from here, but he knew that her nails would be manicured and her makeup would be flawless. He also knew that the glass in front of her was filled with iced tea and flavored with one packet of calorie-free sugar substitute and that the only thing on the menu she would have been interested in was the grilled chicken sandwich. And that she would have scraped the cheese off as soon as she saw it.
Hannah McIntire was the most put together, predictable, organized, goal-oriented person he’d ever met. She was his soul mate in every way..
Or, at least she had been, before she’d become the most unpredictable thing to ever happen in his life.
Kyle’s chest tightened and he took a step in her direction. It was time for some answers.
But he was brought up short after step two by his best friend. Derek stepped in front of him, putting a hand on Kyle’s shoulder. “Whoa, what are you doing here, man?”
Kyle scowled and tried to move around him. “I’m here to welcome Hannah back to town.”
Derek moved with him, cutting him off. “Well that’s a horrible idea.”
“Knock it off,” Kyle said, stepping the other way. “You texted me to tell me she was here.”
Derek took a wide-legged stance in front of Kyle, blocking his view of the room. “Well that’s bro code. I can’t see my best friend’s ex back in town after three years and not tell him. But I was really hoping you wouldn’t come down here.”
Kyle gritted his teeth. “Why were you hoping that?”
“Because I was kind of hoping that you wouldn’t care.”
Yeah, well, Kyle had kind of hoped that he wouldn’t really care too. He’d assumed that at some point before he died, Hannah would show up back in their hometown. And he’d really fucking hoped that by then he wouldn’t care. But he’d also hoped he’d have another couple of years before that happened. Or ten. Or that he’d be old and senile and not remember her.
That hope had been dashed the second he read *Hannah’s here.*
Because he cared. He definitely cared.
